After checking the forecast (50 mph winds!), our Forest School Leaders decided we should stay at school to practise some of the skills we had already experienced in the woods. We used lashing to create ‘forest eyes’ from pencils and coloured wool and took turns outside, to practise fire lighting with flint and steel and whittling holly sticks with a peeler. Even though we missed den-building and tree-climbing, we still had a great time and created some amazing craft items!
