We are looking forward to lots of cross-curricular learning during Anti-Bullying Week (next week) and this year our theme is Staying Safe Online, linked with Anti-Cyberbullying. We will also be joining in with several events over the week, to raise awareness or money!
Monday 12th November: National Silly Sock Day – children are invited to wear silly socks with their uniform, in support of the National Anti-Bullying Week theme of ‘Diversity’, promoting the message that it’s good to be different and everyone is unique. No donations are required – please save these for Friday!
Wednesday 14th November: World Diabetes Awareness Day – we will be holding a special assembly on Wednesday 14th November to raise awareness of diabetes and prevention and to share the warning signs and risks associated with diabetes, who can help to manage and control diabetes and what to do if you have diabetes.
Friday 16th November: National Wear Blue Day – together with other schools across the country, we will be inviting all of our pupils (and staff!) to wear as much blue as possible on Friday 16th November so that, together, we can show our commitment to saying ‘NO’ to bullying. Children do not need to wear uniform but we ask that children do not wear football kit. Thank you. We will be asking for a suggested donation of £1 for a local Diabetes charity.
