Christmas Shows
Thank you to everyone for attending our Christmas shows this week. The children and staff have worked incredibly hard on them and they have been very successful. We've seen amazing confidence from the children and they have learnt many songs, dances, actions and lines for their wonderful performances. The final show is the Year 3 and 4 performance which takes place at 9:00 on Tuesday morning.

Updates from the Governing Board
Last night was the final Governing Board meeting of the calendar year. We welcomed two new governors to the board. Tristan Humphreys has been elected as the new staff governor and Olena Zakrzewska as a board member with responsibility for financial management. Governors fed back positively from their recent morning spent in school during which they were able to visit classes to observe lessons and meet with members of the School Council.
We also scrutinised and approved the latest school Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) strategy. This additional funding that the school receives is linked to families who qualify for free school meals. Now that school meals are free for all children, governors questioned if it might be possible to ensure that all eligible children are accounted for as this could provide much needed extra income for the school. If you have not checked if you are eligible, there is a simple online form that you can use to check - please do this if you know that you are not registered as a PPG recipient - the more families who are eligible, the more additional funding the school will receive. The link to do this is here: https://pps.lgfl.org.uk/
The governing board would like to wish all members of our community a very happy Christmas - thank you.

PSA Christmas Fair - tomorrow!
After all the fun of the Elfridges store on Monday, the children are excited and ready for all the activities tomorrow at the PSA Christmas Fair. I hope that many of you are able to attend. The fair is on between 12:00 and 15:00 with many fantastic stalls - food, crafts, gifts, tombola and the raffle. Also in attendance will be the school choir, Santa and the Deputy Mayor of Kingston! I was lucky enough to have a sneaky peak at the grotto - it looks amazing! I hope to see you there.
A reminder that next Wednesday (18/12/24) is our Christmas lunch and Christmas Jumper Day - in support of Save the Children. Also, that we finish next Friday at 14:00 for the Christmas holiday.
