Parent consultation reminder
Please can you remember to book your parent consultation meeting with your child’s class teacher for the two sessions on the 22nd and 24th of October. As always, we are aiming for 100% coverage so if you haven’t booked an appointment in your Arbor account, please be prepared to be chased on it by your teachers next week. So far, only 139 meetings have been scheduled, hopefully we can get much higher than that by this time next week!
Nasal flu immunisations
For those of you who have given permission for your child to have their flu immunisation, please can you remind your child that these will be administered on Monday. No needles or jabs, it is a pain free shot of spray up the nose. So nothing to be worried about but please let your children know that they are taking place.
Fire Alarm
For those of you that were on site at drop-off this morning, thank you for your patience with the fire alarm trigger. Thankfully it was just a bit of smoke from some burnt toast in our nurture breakfast club. Although unplanned, it is always good to test our systems at different times and we have never done a fire drill at this time before. Now that everyone knows the noise of the external sounders, if you hear this again, please can you hang back in the playground and not walk towards the buildings.
PSA Updates
A quick reminder that next Friday at 9:00 is the PSA AGM. Please come along if you’d like to find out more about the work of the PSA over the last year or if you’d like to volunteer to take on a role on the committee. Also, coming up on Friday 25th October is the PSA Spooky Disco. For Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 this is between 16:00 and 17:00 and for Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 is between 17:30 and 18:30. Entry costs £4 and includes a drink and a snack. Tickets will be on sale in the playground from next Thursday after school. Any questions about either of these events, please contact the PSA - psa.kopsch@gmail.com.
Harvest Festival - Wednesday 23rd October
We will be holding our Harvest Festival on Wednesday 23rd October. Please can we ask for donations for our healthy food partner, Brite Box. They would like staple ingredients such as tinned tomatoes, pasta or baked beans. No fresh produce please as, it cannot be donated. Please hand donations in to your child’s class teacher and we will use them to create a harvest display in the hall for our assembly in the afternoon. Please also see the information below about some family cooking events that Brite Box are hosting over the next few months - if you are interested book up early as the sessions are very popular.
Thank you for your continued support, only two weeks left until the half-term break!
