Year 1 Football Festival
Well done to our team of Year 1 footballing superstars who this week took part in a borough 5 a-side festival. They played brilliantly and scored and saved lots of goals. They learnt new skills and showed great sportsmanship. Thanks to the parents who came along to support - well done everyone!
Parent Staff Association (PSA) Treat and Plant Sale
Thanks to the PSA for another spectacular event - the array of plants and treats on sale was amazing. Thank you to everyone who came along to buy a treat and support the school. The next PSA meeting is taking place in school next Friday (17th May) at 9:00 - we look forward to seeing you there if you can make it.
Morning playground supervision
Over the last few weeks we have noticed that some children are being dropped off at school before 8:30 and being left unattended in the playground. At this time, there are no adults on duty. Please be aware that the school gates are open for arrival from 8:30 at which point members of SLT are then on gate duty. The classroom doors are then open from 8:45. Your support with ensuring that children are supervised and safe before school is very much appreciated.
Are you a mum who wants to start work in September?
If so, please check out the Grow programme below.
Maypole Dancing
Our maypole dancers have been working hard this week to perfect the double plait dance - it looks very complicated! They are preparing for the Country Dancing Festival which is taking place on the 25th June. There are still a few spaces in the squad so please contact the office if your child is in Year 4 or 5, is free on a Tuesday after school and would like to give it a go!
Dons Local Action Group
Please see below the details of a fundraising family funday for a charity that supports our community - please attend if you can.
Yr 6 SATs
Next week, our wonderful Year 6 pupils will be taking their end of Key Stage 2 tests known as the SATs. They have been working incredibly hard in the build up to them and I know that they will all be trying their hardest to get the best results possible for themselves and our school. Please give them lots of encouragement and support next week as they complete the tests - I wish them all the best of luck!
