Parking and Respect for our Community
Please can I remind you all about our duty to ensure that, as a responsible school community, we are courteous and respectful to our neighbours. This is currently particularly relevant in terms of parking at drop-off and pick-up times. We have had disappointing feedback from local residents with regard to disrespectful parking on pavements, across driveways and blocking roads. As you are aware, we are able to park in the Aldi/Matalan car-park which is a very short walk to school - please make use of this facility and get yourself some guaranteed parking. Remember that cars are not allowed to park on the zig-zag lines by the pedestrian crossing and on the pavement. Your consideration and respect for other road users, pedestrians and our neighbours is very important and is much appreciated, I know that many of you manage to do this brilliantly every day.
Change of date for the Yr 1 to 6 Spring Term parent consultations
We have had to make a change to the planned date for the Spring Term parent consultations - these will now be taking place on Tuesday 5th and Thursday 7th March. Apologies to anyone who had already planned this date in your diaries. Specific information about booking a slot will be sent out nearer the time.
Start of the Spring Term Clubs
It was fantastic this week to see our club offer kick off with such great success. I am so pleased that we have such a growing range of clubs for our pupils to enjoy and learn from and how well the children have engaged with the activities on offer. Here you can see some members of cooking and craft clubs this week - wonderful fruit-kebabs and necklaces!
Parent Staff Association
Due to a change in Parent Staff Association membership, we are going to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on Friday 9th February at 9:30 in the school hall. Please come along if you would like to find out more about the fantastic community and fund-raising initiatives that the PSA organise or if you would like to put yourself forward for a role on the committee. Hopefully we’ll get lots of people attending - refreshments will be on offer!
Prime Bottles
We have started to experience a few small problems with children who are using recycled Prime bottles as their school water bottles. Please can you try to find a more suitable water bottle for your child to avoid these issues. It is vital that children have access to a water bottle in school each day so if this is a problem for you, please let me know and we can find a suitable water container for your child.
Have a great weekend, thanks for your continued support.
