Year 5 Junior Roadwatch
This week our Year 5 pupils were involved in a road safety activity and got to spend some time with the police. As well as learning lots of information about road safety, the children got to try out the speed gun to see if anyone was driving too fast around our school. The children did catch a few offenders who had to explain their error to the children. The children also got to spend some time exploring the police van - they loved setting off the sirens - apologies to our neighbours, they got very carried away with this! This was a fantastic learning opportunity for the children and hopefully educated a few motorists in the community as to the dangers of speeding.
Autumn Term curriculum newsletters
In the email this week with the link to the newsletter, you should have also received a copy of this term’s curriculum newsletter for your class. Hopefully this will provide you with information that will enable you to support your child at home and prepare you for the content being covered this term. Please speak to your child’s class teacher if you have any questions. You can also download this document from the Year Group pages of the school website.

It is great that we now have a more comprehensive range of clubs starting this term. Thank you to everyone who has signed up to join one of them. Spaces are limited and vary depending on the club but a few still have some gaps so please use your Arbor account to book up if your child would like to participate.
