Year 3 and 4 Sports Day

Well done to all of our LKS2 athletes for their fantastic performances and sportsmanship this morning at their sports morning.  It was great to see so much motivation and enthusiasm and all children giving everything a go.  Thank you to everyone who came along to cheer the children on and to all the staff team for putting the event together.  Hopefully the children have managed to keep hold of the array of stickers that many of them had after the races and activities.

Year 6 Show - Goodbye My Friend
Rehearsals are well under way for the Year 6 end of primary school show.  As we have a large Year 6 year group we will be hosting three performances - all will be the same.  To manage an even split of audience members, we are using an online ticketing platform to book your slot.  Please select the most appropriate performance date and time - you will be able to book a maximum of two tickets. If you require more tickets, please email the school office and we will create a first come first served waiting list for any spares that might be available after the booking deadline.

PSA Summer Fair 2023

A huge thank you to the PSA team and volunteers of parents and staff who made the Summer Fair such a success last weekend. It was fabulous to see so many members of our community coming together to enjoy the sunshine and fun.  The mayor came to see the action and was very impressed with everything that she saw.  It was an enormous amount of work to pull together and I am hugely appreciative of everyone who came to support, donated prizes, helped with the set-up and tidy-up and came along with their families to support the school.  This is a great platform for our future PSA activities next year - I know that they have exciting plans!

Communication
As a school, we try to be as effective with our communications as possible. Feedback has shown that some parents find it difficult to manage with ParentMail and so we have decided to move our communication platform over to Arbor. This will mean that as well as having the option to see messages and give permissions etc in the Arbor app (available for free for Android and Apple)  that you will also receive a direct email into your inbox.  It is therefore vital that all contact information that we hold on you is as accurate as possible.  Between now and the end of term, my weekly newsletter email will be sent via ParentMail and Arbor so you can check that you are receiving both.  You are now also able to access the Parent Portal on Arbor to check and amend any contact details - please make sure that this is done ahead of September when ParentMail will no longer be used.  Thank you - get back to me if you have any questions.

NEU Industrial Action

A reminder about the current know closures for next week's NEU strikes. 

As previously mentioned, if we have enough staff on site to open other classes, parents will be informed as soon as possible.
