The PSA team have been working incredibly hard, there are some fantastic stalls, games, activities and prizes on offer - please support them, they are currently putting raffle tickets on all the brilliant bottle tombola donations that were received today. I look forward to seeing you there.
Year 2 Singing Festival at The Rose Theatre
Congratulations to Year 2 for their performance at the Rose Theatre this week. The children did brilliantly and were excellent ambassadors for King's Oak. They performed a range of songs about flight, including one that they had composed with the support of a professional composer - this song was also sung by over a thousand children from across schools in Kingston - what an amazing achievement!
Request for information from families who have received a Brite Box at any point this year.
Dear BRITE Box Family,
We hope you have enjoyed receiving BRITE Boxes this year. In order that we can keep on improving the programme and secure future funding to reach more families like you, the BRITE Box team really need your feedback. We have teamed up with Kingston University to develop a BRITE Box feedback form which you can view and complete by clicking here BRITE Box Feedback. Please give 10 minutes of your time before the end of June to complete this form and ensure as many families as possible to continue to receive BRITE Box. All feedback will be anonymous. Thank you in advance for your help !
Safeguarding Review
I am Emma Clarke, the education safeguarding adviser for Achieving for Children in Kingston and Richmond. I give advice to schools about their role in keeping children safe from worry or harm. Your school has asked me to come in to look over what they are doing to keep your child safe. Please follow this link to answer some small and quick questions to help me understand from a parent's/carer's point of view. It gives you the opportunity to tell someone outside of the school how you feel. You can complete this anonymously. Your views will be fed back to the school to give them an understanding about what they are doing well and what could be changed.
Altitude Cheerleading
Some of our current and ex-pupils are currently working really hard with their cheerleading skills - some even in the squad winning national competitions and headed for international success! They are always looking for new members - please see the flyer below for further information and contact them if you'd like to get involved.
Year 6 Kingston Secondary School Transition Day - 5th July
We have had confirmation from all the borough secondary schools that the planned transition day on Wednesday 5th July will still be taking place. The individual schools will have contacted you with regard to the arrangements and timings for this day. It is always so useful for the children to spend a day at their new school and start to become familiar with the staff and surroundings ahead of September.
Thanks for the continued support, I look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow at the PSA Summer Fair - don't forget the sun-cream and hats!
