Film Night
Well done to the PSA for running a very successful Film Night. We were incredibly pleased to have sold nearly 200 tickets and it was great to see the children enjoying Encanto with their friends after a busy week at school. Thank you to all the PSA team and staff members who volunteered to enable this to happen. It is great to see our active PSA raising money for the school while also providing fun activities for the children!
Odd Sock Day
As part of our work to celebrate Anti-Bullying Week, on Monday 14th November children can wear odd socks to school. This is a way to highlight that we are all different and it is ok to be this way. If your child would like to take part, please encourage them to wear odd socks to school on Monday next week.
Chelsea Tickets
Thank you to the families who have requested tickets for the Chelsea Ladies football match on Sunday 20th November. They will be allocated in the order that the requests were received so unfortunately I don’t have enough to fulfil all the requests. The tickets are being delivered on Monday 14th and I’ll send them out as soon as possible after that to the successful applicants.
Parking across driveways
Our long-running issue with poor parking and road use unfortunately continues. This week, we have had further complaints from members of our local community about cars being parked across driveways and blocking access to roads. Please can I urge you to either park in a legal place or make use of the large car-park at Aldi / Matalan which is then a short and safe walk to school.
Times Tables Rockstars
Next week, as part of Maths Week 2022, pupils in KS2 will be taking part in the England Rocks 2022 challenge. From Monday 14th November to Wednesday 16th November, students can compete against others across England in answering as many multiplication and division questions correctly as they can. Please help your children practise over this weekend in order to prepare them for the competition and support them once the competition goes live. The winning school and class will be based on the highest average number of correct answers per student.
1. Every correct answer that a student gives, in any game type (Fluency, Gig, Studio and Soundcheck) between the hours of 07:30 to 19:30 each day within the competition period will contribute to their class and school score.
2. There is a 60-minute limit playtime per player, per day. Those 60-minutes do not need to be played in one block - they can be spread throughout each day. Good Luck - there are certificates and Amazon vouchers up for grabs!

PSA Logo Competition for Years 5 and 6
We want to raise funds to help your school buy exciting things and give everyone
lots of fun events to participate in. To do that we are arranging treat sales, films
after school, a Christmas grotto, a summer fair and much much more. Part of the way we can do these events and get prizes is by asking big shops and companies for support and donations but our letters look a little dull! We need a logo, a symbol of what we are doing.
Now this is where you come in, can you design our logo? It needs to represent our school, have colour in it and include the letters PSA. It doesn’t need to be too big but we will be putting it on the top of all our letters and posters so let’s be exciting!
The closing date for entries is Thursday the 17th November, the winner will be announced on Friday 18th November.
The creator of the winning logo will win this boxed art set pictured below. So
remember to put your name and class on the back of your entry before handing it in to your teacher for us to collect!
