Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement. These include pupils who are entitled to Free School Meals, those looked after by the Local Authority or adopted from Local Authority care and children of armed service personnel. The intended effect of this funding is to accelerate progress and raise attainment.
At King’s Oak Primary School, Pupil Premium funding is used to create and enhance further learning experiences for pupils. Many activities are planned to support school improvement priorities. Activities are based on a thorough evaluation of what steps must next be taken to increase opportunity and maximise experiences for our pupils, so that they are ambitious for their future lives and develop the skills needed to ensure success.
