This week in maths the children in Year 1 and Year 2 have been exploring the concept of finding one more than a given number. We started using resources and then moved onto recording answers on paper. The children have also been learning how to count on from any given number. This is a useful skill for being able to add or subtract, especially mental calculations. 

Perhaps you can try finding one more at home with the children.
