This week we have been learning about How to Catch a Star in our Year 1 and Year 2 English Lessons.

We have been talking about the different word types using Colourful Semantics. Yesterday we were talking about what object and things were in the story and today we were talking about what the boy was doing. We call these 'what' words and 'what doing' words. The children identified the words in the story and drew a picture of them.

Next week we will be continuing to focus on what the characters are doing in the story.  Then we will write sentences with the words we have learnt.
