This week we have been doing a lot of our learning around the book The Koala Who Could. We have been learning about some of the animals such as wombats, koalas and dingos! The children have been having a go at drawing and labelling their favourite Australian animals. Also this week, with your kind donations, we have made Fairy Bread, an Australian party food, which the children enjoyed making and eating. 

In maths we have been focusing on what happens when we add or subtract 1 from a total. 

Coming up next week we are looking more at Australia in The Koala Who Could in English. Next week in maths, the children will continue to engage with activities that develop their understanding of composition, or the numbers within numbers.  

If anyone has any recycling that we might reuse for junk modelling, empty toilet rolls, cardboard boxes even amazon delivery boxes, we would be most grateful if you are able to drop some off at school.
