Veggies and scarecrows

Our book this week was Meg's Veg. The story was about Meg, Mog and Owl planting their own vegetable garden. It provided opportunities for discussions about how to care for plants and the importance of eating vegetables. We enjoyed dancing to Gracie's Veggie Dance.  The children also learnt about scarecrows and their purpose.

We continue to reinforce the Learning Habit of appropriate morning and afternoon greetings and encourage the children to communicate a clear "No, thank you" when a peer does something they are uncomfortable with.

Next week, our book is "Where's My Teddy?"  The story teaches the concept of size - too big and too small and also has themes of being alone and feeling afraid of the dark.
