Festive Fun
This week we have been very busy in Nursery, taking part in our rehearsals, practising our festive songs and meeting Father Christmas. The children have been learning that some of our families celebrate Christmas and why they are celebrating. We have discussed different things that people celebrate and how people celebrate in many different ways.
We have also been thinking about what happens in the month of December and the season of winter. To support this learning, we have been watching a BBC video which has created a lot of great talking points on the carpet. The children especially enjoyed discussing the snow and how most of the winter trees have no leaves.
