This week in Nursery we have enjoyed welcoming back our returning children and getting to know some new friends too. During the carpet sessions the children have enjoyed sharing their holiday news and discussing all the exciting things they have learnt over the summer break. 

The children have loved the indoor sand and water area where they have been busy making sand castles and exploring both wet and dry sand. As well as searching for hidden gems, washing them and discussing the colours and shapes. 

Outside the children have enjoyed exploring a range of activities from bikes to obstacle courses. They have been especially interested in the insects in the garden, thinking about where they like to live and what they might eat. In the afternoon session we found a yellow ladybird, the children had great fun counting its spots and collecting leaves and sticks to make it a safe home.
