The children have loved the messy play area this week. The children have been very creative, using the play dough to create all the different characters. We provided the children with all different creative materials and they came up with wonderful creations. We had aliens, hedgehogs and lots more. 

In our builders tray we had porridge oats, jugs, a bowl and spoons. The children have been developing their gross motor skills by pouring, scooping and grasping while perfecting eye-hand coordination skills. This lead to a discussion with the children about how it feels; hot, cold, soft, scratchy, hard or smooth. 

Our book this week was Toddle Waddle. This book encourages language development by using repetition and rhyming words.
