Pre-School

Making Play-dough

This week in Pre-School, the children were given a recipe to make their own play-dough. We started by talking about the different ingredients we would need to make the mixture. While we made the mixture, we needed to use our counting skills to measure out each ingredient correctly. The children then took it in turns to mix and knead the dough.

Our afternoon children had great fun in the role-playing kitchen area. Working together, the children made pizza, chopped vegetables and made drinks for each other. Outside, the children have been practising their climbing skills to be able to use the climbing frame and the different apparatus.

Our book of the week has been Dear Zoo. The children have been guessing which animals are hiding on each page and saying the animal sounds.
