Role play!
This week we are have been busy using play dough to develop hand and eye coordination and finger muscles through squeezing, patting, rolling and cutting with scissors. The children have been using their imagination to make food for the teachers. We had pasta, cakes, pizza and lots more which they then cooked in the home corner.
The children loved the construction area and dressed up in builders' outfits to construct different buildings and train tracks. They worked together and role-played being train drivers and marched around the classroom singing ‘Choo choo’ and decided they were all going to the shops.
