This week the children had great fun playing games with the parachute. The children had to try and keep the popping popcorn from falling off of the parachute using coordination and working together. We then played a listening game where the children listened to instructions to stop the parachute and shouted out which colour it had landed on. Lastly, we played a game of running underneath the parachute and trying to make it to the other side before the parachute landed. 

The children also took part in a sensory play activity which involved porridge oats. We mixed and stirred the oats into bowls and discussed the textures we could feel. 

Next week we will be reading 'Wow Said The Owl'. This is a tale of a curious little owl who decided to stay awake all day.
