Year 2
Trip, English and more...
We have had a very busy week. We have been rehearsing for our Christmas production which will be on the 11th December at 9am. We would love to see you there.
On Tuesday we walked to New Malden Baptist Church for our Christmas Journey. The children had a lovely time learning about the Christian story of Christmas. We also made lovely decorations to hang in our homes.
In English, the children have been doing a lot of acting and thinking about different ways Father Christmas could travel back to the North Pole, after visiting Harvey Slumfunburger, and what problems could arise with his transport choices.
In maths, the children have been learning all about the 2 x table and have been using it to solve problems.
Next week, they will look at explaining the relationship between adjacent multiples of 2 and looking at how factor pairs can be written in any order.
In English, the children will be completing a box plan for Harvey and practising their conjunctions, expanded noun phrases and suffixes in their guided and independent writing.
In science, we will be looking at John Dunlop and in history we will carry on our learning about aviators.
