Year 2

Science Museum Trip

Today we went to the Science Museum. The children had a wonderful day. We started up in the Flight Gallery. We saw the Montgolfier Brothers Hot Air Balloon model. We also saw the Antoinette monoplane (1909), Amy Johnson's Gipsy Moth and the Vickers Vimy, which first crossed the Atlantic in 1919. Other exhibits we saw were Supermarine S6B racing seaplane, Hawker P1127, which led to the Harrier jump-jet fighter and a complete slice of a genuine Boeing 747 jumbo jet.  After lunch, we went through the Space exhibit. The children behaved extremely well and everyone had a fantastic day.

Thank you to all the parents who took the time to help us on the trip today!
