The year group have been working hard this week looking at the links between multiplication and division. The children were using dienes, metre sticks and rulers to measure lengths of tape and then used what they found out to see how many multiples of 10 or 5 were in a number. 

Finally, the children were able to start making their moving vehicles for the Tear Thief. They practised their joining techniques, and used their scientific knowledge of materials to think about what waterproof materials they could use to cover their vehicle. By the end of the week, they will have begun to assemble their axles, axle holders and add the wheels. They are excited to see the finished product.
