Year 2
Computing and more...
This week, everyone in Year 2 enjoyed their computing lessons. We were learning how information is transferred to the computer via the keyboard. Then we all took turns learning to navigate a keyboard, find the two buttons with raised bumps (f and j), and use these two 'home' keys to learn how to touch type. The children were told not to look at the keyboard. They were very good. I am sure they would enjoy practising at home with you. The website is: www.typingclub.com
Have a go, it is lots of fun!
Next week we will be finishing Paddington, the bear from Darkest Peru, and starting our new text, The Tear Thief. In geography, we will continue to look at climates and, in particular, rainfall.
We will be making marmalade twists in DT, in maths we will be looking at doubling and halving, and in science we will be looking at animals in desert habitats.
