In our topic lessons the children have been looking at the 7 continents and 5 oceans. As part of this work they were asked where they were born and where their families were from. The children then used a large map to locate the countries and wrote a sentence for their books. When they were finished, they copied it up in their best handwriting, and we arranged them on a large scale map. To show exactly where each child was from, we attached string from their piece work to their country.
