Last half-term we focussed on Sacred Places and their respective religions. This week the children had a visit from Insight, a local church education group who come into schools to support teaching the RE curriculum. We were lucky enough to have Mrs Andrews come in and speak to the children about forgiveness, and what forgiveness means in all its many forms. The children looked at the story of Peter the Fisherman and the story called The Friend Who Forgives. The children really enjoyed making links between what they knew about the Muslim, Sikh, Hindu and Jewish religions. We will continue to further their knowledge by reading different stories from other faiths.
