Year 2

English and more
This week, the children had another visit from Lakeisha who works for the Polka Theatre, Wimbledon. We have been working with Polka as part of a program called 'Talking Tales'. During her visit we played a few drama games and the children, as always, had a very enjoyable morning. One of our games was called 'ET interviews'. None of the children knew who ET was, so I introduced him to them, and they are now curious to watch the film. So, if you have access to it over the half-term, perhaps you and your family might enjoy curling up with some popcorn to watch a classic! They are intrigued as to why his finger is red!?!
During 'ET interviews', one child had to be the interviewer and one had to be ET (answering in alien language). Perhaps ask your child, I am sure they will play the game with you.
In maths, we have continued our learning of multiplication and division facts. Some children still need to practise their 2, 5, and 10 x tables. If you could support them in doing this, it would really help them with their learning.
Today we had our trip to the Rose Theatre. We saw 'The Koala Who Could'
The children were impeccably behaved and enjoyed themselves immensely. It was a fantastic show!!
Thank you to all those parents who came along to support the children.
