Year 1

Learing how seeds are spread.

On Tuesday 25th June, both Year 1 classes visited the Holly Lodge centre. The activities supported our learning this year about plants and how we use them. We learned how to identify different trees from the shape of their leaves, how people use different plant seeds for food, and about the different ways in which plants can spread their seeds around, as well as how bees pollinate flowering plants.  The children greatly enjoyed this visit and undoubtedly learned a great deal. They were also a credit to our school, showing amazing behaviour throughout the day. Lets hope our new basil plants can thrive at home!
