Year 5
Science Museum
On Thursday, Year 5 went to the Science Museum to deepen their understanding of space and to learn more about forces. We saw the module that astronaut Tim Peake used to travel back to Earth in after his time on the International Space Station. We saw a space nappy, a piece of the moon and a model of the USS Enterprise but no one was able to find the can of Coke. In the forces exhibition we were able to think about which exhibits had been designed to minimise air resistance or to maximise friction. Next week we will be finding out more about Galileo and his predictions about gravity and air resistance.
