Swimming

This week was our final week of swimming, we have had fantastic sessions at Coombe Hill Infants and really developed our swimming skills. We mainly focused on floating abilities as we learnt the best methods to help us float in water. To float in water we needed to lie on our back, lift our stomachs up and become a star - we needed to feel relaxed (the most important part!) If we felt like we were sinking, we were instructed to create small flutters with our feet or circle motions with our hands.

Furthermore, we learnt how to stay safe in the water. We were informed to bring our body to the surface, lie on our backs and start to float. Once we achieved this, we are safe to call out for help. We understood if we did this, hopefully help will be sent out to us.
