This week, we have been collecting together words and phrases to use in a character description of Sir Ironsoul - a deadly mechanical figure in our book “Clockwork.”

We came up with similes, metaphors and personification to add interest to our description and made notes to help us with our writing.  We looked at a range of punctuation we could use and revised how to use each one before inventing sentences which would help us.  After discussing each sense and what we could feel, touch, hear and see, we looked at fronted adverbials and how we could incorporate these in our work.  Next, we will use our planning to write a detailed character description of the malevolent machine.
