Year 6
World War 2
In this week's topic, we have been learning all about the events which led to the start of WW2. We have applied our skills of ordering and comparing alongside our understanding of chronology to create a timeline of key events. We have revisited our current knowledge of allies, neutral and axis countries to determine which side a country was on at the time. We have worked collaboratively to infer information from a photograph of soldiers thinking about: what I can see, what I think is happening and what I need to find out.
In computing, we have continued our unit of learning all about Bletchley Park by exploring hacking and the importance of having a strong password which we shouldn’t share with others. As part of this learning, we have altered algorithms within the software ‘Scratch’ to decipher a 4 digit passcode.
