In English this week, we have written newsflashes based on the first chapter of The Graveyard Book. We have been learning to use a range of tenses (simple past, past perfect, present perfect, past progressive and present progressive) and exploring what effect they create. Applying our knowledge of a range of punctuation, we have effectively written and performed our newsflashes to the class by taking on the role of a reporter. 

In computing, we have begun a new unit of learning all about spreadsheets and over the sequence of lessons will be creating our own spreadsheets on Google Sheets to calculate a budget for a party. This week we identified cells using rows and columns and used the SUM function to add numbers together.
