This week we have made our final design for our DT project linked to Climate Change. We started off by learning about plastic waste, the harm it can do to the environment and the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle campaign. Next, we explored different objects that can be made using everyday plastic waste. We came up with several ideas we could use for our final design. Before we started making, we explored different ways we could join plastic together successfully. We looked at slotting, weaving, taping, folding and using existing design features to help join them together. This bought us to the most exciting point - the time to make. We put everything we have learnt together to make our final piece. Next, we will evaluate our design, thinking about what went well and what we will do differently next time to improve our design.
