Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back! It was great to see you and your children in the playgrounds this morning – we hope you had a lovely holiday break and that your children are looking forward to the term ahead as much as we are.

Thank you so much to all parents and carers who are following our requests to social distance, wear masks and leave the school grounds promptly after drop off, to keep everyone as safe as possible – we really appreciate your support – you are fantastic!

Following feedback from parents, carers and staff on the new arrangements, we are sharing a bit of clarification and a few reminders below and would be very grateful for your ongoing support with these:

If you are exempt from wearing a mask, it would help our staff if you bring an exemption card with you.

The Back Alley Gate can also be used to enter our school grounds at drop off and collection times – only 7 families used it this morning so please consider using the Back Alley Gate instead of the Red Nursery Gate if you can.

Please escort your child/ren to their classrooms unless they are in Year 5 or Year 6 and have permission to walk to and from school alone.

Please try to time your arrival at school to be within the 10 minute slot, as below.

  • The Back Alley Gate and Red Nursery Gate open at 8:40 a.m. in the morning and close at 8:50 a.m.
  • The Back Alley Gate and Red Nursery Gate open at 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon and close at 3:10 p.m.

If you arrive early, please consider waiting away from the gates so that social distancing can be maintained.

Please also try to ensure that your children are on time each day – late arrivals have a huge impact on staffing and on social distancing measures.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Yours sincerely,

Jess Stodart
