Year 6
WWJD
Today, Year 6 were fortunate enough to have a visit from Insight who work across all schools in Kingston teaching about Christianity. We asked ourselves "What would Jesus do?". We found the answers by looking at the parables he told and working out their meanings. We focused on good deeds, not judging, forgiveness, being honest and being generous and not greedy. We looked at different scenarios and thought about the advice Jesus would give in each one.
You may remember in a previous Newsletter we mentioned Year 6 produced artwork to enter into a competition run by the Royal British Legion for Remembrance. I am delighted to inform you that children from King's Oak came 1st and 2nd! This is an amazing achievement. My congratulations go out to James and Juana who are attending their prize giving ceremony this evening at the New Malden Methodist Church. I look forward to hearing all about it next week.
