Year 5

Artists!

In art this week, we are painting our final draft of our Tudor portrait.  After practising mixing colours which may have been used in Tudor portraits, we used different techniques to add in a background and small details.

In English, we learned how the Tudors insulted each other - terms such as Fopdoodle (a foolish man) and a driggle-draggle (an untidy woman).  We had fun writing a diary entry from the point of view of a person who did not like King Henry VIII and using some of these words and phrases in our writing.

Next week, we will be continuing with our class book ‘Treason’ - we all really want to know what becomes of the main character - Will.
