Year 6

Art

In art, we have taken inspiration from Souleymane Keita to plan and create a piece of abstract artwork. We have used our imagination and sketching skills to plan a piece before using pastels to create a final artwork. We have practised our blending and smudging skills to create form, texture and shadow. From carefully examining his artwork, we identified the main characteristics as being: abstract lines, soft lined shapes, dark backgrounds and neutral colouring. After producing our final artwork we then shared our artwork with our peers explaining the mood, image and inspiration for our piece.

Next week is very exciting in Year 6 as we have our performance at 3.45 on Tuesday and our leavers' party at 3.30 on Thursday!
