This week, in Year 1 we have been focusing on thinking about the characters in our story, The Snail and the Whale. The children enjoyed pretending they were the Snail or the Whale and imagining what they might tell other snails about their journey. They have worked really hard all year on their writing. It was very enjoyable to see all their ideas! On Tuesday (weather permitting) it is sports day, please remember to help the children be ready to start by sending them to school in their P.E kit. We have looked at how things grow in science and have been thinking back about what has changed since the children were little. They all agreed they could not read and write before, but now they can! Well done Year 1.
