This week in Nursery we have been listening to the story Jack and the Beanstalk. We have discussed the different characters and been learning our repeated line in the story 'Fee fi fo fum I smell the blood of an English man.' The children have also been thinking about how plants grow from seeds and discussing different types of plants. 

As it is healthy eating week we have spent lots of time exploring and trying a range of fruit and vegetables. Everyday during the register the children have talked about different food, their favourite dinners, balanced diet and their favourite fruit and vegetables. During our carpet session, the children had the opportunity to hold and taste fruits such as pineapples and a wide range of vegetables including radishes, celery and peppers. They enjoyed talking about how the fruits and vegetables felt and smelt, what colours they were and how they tasted.
