This week Year 1 have been reading a new story entitled The Tiny Seed, by Eric Carle. To provide an immersive introduction to the story and really hook the children into it, we have been using a sensory story approach. In this the children were participants in the story in different roles, playing the wind, the various plants and the seeds themselves. Luckily the weather was on our side for this activity! The children enjoyed ther experience greatly and we are sure they will remember the story even better as a result!
