This week Year 5 visited the New Malden Baptist Church to take part in an Easter Experience organised and delivered by the excellent Insight organisation. The experience was split into two parts. One part involved taking part in an immersive drama experience where we travelled back in time to talk to witnesses of the last supper, Roman soldiers involved in the crucifixion and people who saw and spoke to Jesus after he was raised again. The second part involved finding out about famous people who have a Christian faith and how it has affected their lives. We also looked at historical sources that talk about the time of the death of Jesus. All these things helped us to deepen our understanding about why Easter is an important time for Christians.
