This week in Year 1 we have been learning about Where The Wild Things are in our English lessons. The children have been thinking of their own sentences and making additions to some in the story. They have really enjoyed causing a "rumpus"! In maths we have been looking at commutative addition and the children have been discussing with each other how we can write number sentences. 

In Topic this week we have learnt about humans and that we are a mammal. The children really enjoyed labelling the parts of the body they knew and were fascinated about their hearts and brains!

Next week we have a visit from Zoolab and they are bringing lots of different groups of animals so please talk to your children ahead of the visit about how we are different from other creatures and what similarities we share.
