In our art lesson this week, Year 1 have been learning how the three primary colours can be mixed to create secondary colours, such as purple, green and orange, which can in turn be mixed to create more new colours. Next week we will build on this knowledge by adding black or white to create shades and tints, and will also be learning about the work of Russian artist Vassily Kandinsky. In our English lessons we will continue learning our current story, "Dear Earth" and in maths we will be learning different ways of building numbers from 6 to 10.
