This week we have been super busy performing our Christmas concert as well as our World War 2 afternoon. As part of this, we performed songs, the Jive and recited a poem. We enjoyed showing our parents and carers our work for this term, including our cooking (soup), our personal projects, topic books, English books and poems. The poems we have written are about an air raid, and we identified words and phrases from our class book to determine what an air raid would feel and be like. We then used these words and phrases and added our own figurative language to create our individual poems, including similes, metaphors and onomatopoeia.
