This week in Year 4, we have been learning how to find the perimeter of irregular shapes. A leaf is an irregular shape so it was interesting to use something that can be found in nature. First we drew around a leaf, then placed a string around it to find out its length. We then measured the string. It was a lot of fun and a bit tricky because it was very fiddly work.
