In our maths learning this week, Year 1 have been learning how we can split a whole number into two parts, that if we put the two parts together we have the same whole and that we can swap the two parts round and still have the same whole. We have done this with a variety of different resources, including ourselves, and have learned how we can show this as a part-whole model.
