This week in our English lessons, the children in Year 1 and Year 2 have been finishing off their work on the book Ruby's Worry. 

The children are very familiar with the story now as they have heard it many times. So we wrote our own version of the story together in shared writing. We drew pictures of different parts of the story to remind us of what happened. This is called a story map. Then the children drew their own story maps as you can see above. The children then took turns to retell their version of the story using their maps.
