We have been reading 'Wow! Said the Owl' in preparation for our trip to the Polka Theatre to watch the show.

When we arrived at the theatre the children listened to the story about a curious little owl who was determined to stay awake and see what daylight would bring. We learnt about the different colours the owl saw while trying to stay awake and at the end of the story we learnt that the owl liked nighttime stars the best. The children also enjoyed joining in with parts of the story they had remembered from reading the book at carpet time. 

The children loved taking the bus to the theatre and seeing their local area and all the different scenery and landmarks along the way. We went under bridges and saw a train cross the bridge too!
